What is cotton yarn? The characteristics of cotton yarn, the so-called cotton yarn, pure cotton yarn and pure cotton towel are naturally made of cotton as raw material by weaving cotton yarn on the loom. Today, according to the actual source of processed cotton, it can be divided into original (pure) cotton fabric and regenerated (pure) cotton fabric.
These cotton yarn, especially pure cotton yarn, and the most common pure cotton handsome at home, have the following characteristics:
1. Process classification of cotton yarn
Cotton yarn is a yarn made of cotton fiber through spinning process. It is called cotton yarn after being folded. According to different spinning processes, it can be divided into carded yarn and combed yarn.
(1) Combed yarn: It is spun from cotton fiber through ordinary spinning system.
(2) Combed yarn: It is spun from cotton fiber through combed spinning system. The combed yarn is made of high-quality raw materials. The fibers are straight and parallel, with few knots, good luster, uniform and high strength. This type of cotton yarn is mostly used for weaving high-grade fabrics.
2. Moisture absorption function of cotton yarn
Cotton yarn has good hygroscopic properties. Generally, cotton fiber will absorb moisture into the surrounding atmosphere, and its moisture content can reach 8% - 10%. Therefore, pure cotton textiles feel soft and never stiff. If the temperature around the cotton cloth is higher when the humidity of the cotton cloth becomes higher, the moisture content of the cotton fiber will slowly evaporate out to keep the balance of water and make people feel comfortable.

3. Moisture retention of cotton yarn
The cotton fiber itself has the advantages of porosity and elasticity. Therefore, a large amount of air can be accumulated between the cotton fibers, and the air contains an appropriate amount of humidity. Therefore, cotton yarn, pure cotton towel and other pure cotton textiles can have good moisture retention performance and make people feel warm when using.
4. Heat resistance of cotton yarn
At 110 ° C, the evaporation of moisture on the cotton cloth will not harm the cotton fiber, so it also improves the washability, wearability and durability of pure cotton textiles.
5. Alkali resistance of cotton yarn
Pure cotton textiles are also relatively resistant to alkali. When cotton fiber is put into a solution with high alkali content, the fiber is not easy to be damaged.

6. Hygiene of cotton yarn
High hygiene: cotton fiber is a natural plant fiber, and its main component is fiber rope. The contact between cotton fabric and skin has no stimulation or negative effect. It is also beneficial to human body but harmless to wear frequently. Therefore, its hygiene degree is high and its hygiene performance is good.
